
The Joint Integrated Local Development Programme (JILDP) is organizing a workshop for trainers to develop civil society capacity in strategic planning through the human rights and gender equality approach.
The workshop will be attended by representatives of 12 NGOs and consultancy companies selected on the basis of an open CVs competition organized by JILDP. With the assistance of international trainers, Ana Vasilache, Olivia Baciu and Diane Bunyan, participants will improve their knowledge and skills to facilitate participatory planning processes. They will also establish the main concepts related to sustainable local socio-economic and integrated development, will enhance knowledge of the principles based on human rights, gender equality and reducing natural disasters risks to all stages of strategic planning, from diagnosis and developing solutions and ending with implementing solutions, monitoring and evaluation of the implementation.
The workshop for trainers is part of a series of JILDP activities to strengthen local government capacity in the context of decentralization process started in Moldova. Thus, the participants will disseminate knowledge and best practices learned in the workshop among other members of the organization. Afterwards, JILDP will launch a competition to select NGOs and consulting companies to facilitate strategic planning in terms of human rights based approach and gender equality in JILDP target communities (in 60 villages and 10 cities across the republic).
Joint Integrated Local Development Program (JILDP) supports the Government of the Republic of Moldova in decentralization process and strengthening local autonomy and is implemented with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) with financial support of Government of Sweden.
