9641 Views The draft of the National Decentralization Strategy was subjected to public debates in 5 cities of the country. The representatives of central and local government and civil society from Hincesti, Cahul, Edinet, Ungheni and Chisinau, discussed about the decentralization process, the essence of the Decentralization Strategy and issues as regards the approach to decentralization in terms of human rights and gender equality, came with questions and proposals on improving the draft Strategy. For the period of April 11-15 2011, consultations on the draft Strategy will continue in other 5 cities: Orhei, Balti, Comrat, Soroca and Causeni. The summary of discussions during these consultations will be available on the website www.descentralizare.gov.md after the completion of the first round of consultations, i.e. after April 15, 2011.
